What’s it like at Summit Malibu?

Founded in 2009, Summit Malibu provides treatment for up to 15 guests at one time. Summit Malibu puts an emphasis on one-to-one counseling. This is one of the major differences between Summit Malibu and other rehabs in the area.

The rehab uses a number of modalities to provide guests with addiction and co-occurring disorder healing. The five-star rehab uses modalities including DBT, CBT, EMDR, Biofeedback, and Relapse Prevention to provide guests with the healing needed for long-term sobriety and mental health. Guests attend Summit Malibu as an alternative to Alcoholics Anonymous.

You will receive help for your mind, body, and spirit during a stay at Summit Malibu. Along with the therapies previously described, the rehab offers spiritual practices such as art, yoga, and equine therapy. There are also mindfulness and meditation sessions.

Your recovery may include Western and Eastern methodologies for holistic healing. Treatment plans are highly individualized to each client’s needs. You will have support 24 hours a day during your stay from the Summit Malibu’s staff.

You will undergo a resort-style experience while staying at Summit Malibu. The rehab is on a beautiful five-acre property in Malibu. There are canyon and ocean views just outside the windows of the rehab. Hiking trails snake their way through the local hillside. Well-known beaches are a stone’s throw away giving you the chance to escape to the beach when the chance arises.

The rehab offers you some excellent amenities for relaxation. A heated swimming pool and jacuzzi are located in the backyard. A Zen decor is used inside to provide the ideal meditative atmosphere. You will have a housekeeper to keep your living space clean during the week. Your personal space will be kept in great shape.

Bedrooms are plush with comfortable beds and bedding. Windows allow you to see the gorgeous landscape just outside the rehab. Bedrooms also offer you a Zen decor for mediation and spiritual renewal.

Five different rooms styles are provided: New Moon, Sun, Horizon, Sage, and Yin & Yang. Each room comes with its own specific amenities to make your stay one of a kind. Highlights of the rooms include full-size beds, flat-screen TVs, bathtubs, and access to a patio or balcony.
