Sierra by the Sea delivers a full continuum of care to residents. The treatment programs are gender-specific for men and women over the age of 18. Clients will receive a personalized treatment package based on their needs. The methods of treatment target specific areas of the client’s addiction.

Along with working with clients to end addiction, Sierra by the Sea targets the underlying issues that caused the addiction in the first place. By working to help clients address their co-occurring mental health disorders, Sierra by the Sea gives clients tools to live life clean and sober.

Sierra by the Sea provides residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). On-site detox is also available at the facility. Each resident follows a personalized care plan based on a thorough pre-rehab assessment. The assessment takes into account the client’s strengths, needs, and goals.

Clients are supported by clinical services and trauma-informed care. Clients will undergo detox upon arrival if needed. Sierra by the Sea also provides basic medical care, medication assistance, medication management, and more. During a typical week, clients attend individual therapy, group therapy sessions, family therapy, and experiential therapy. Sierra by the Sea’s services and modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and the 12-Step recovery model.

The programs at Sierra by the Sea are gender-specific. All residences are separated, meaning male and female clients will not share accommodation during a stay at the rehab. Sierra by the Sea is situated on the Pacific coast in Newport Beach, California. It is just an hour outside of Los Angeles, giving clients the chance to arrive at LAX before transferring to the luxury rehab.
