As the founder of Serenity Vista, John Derry’s mission is to help those seeking to live a full life. He began his professional career in Canada, where he worked as a clinical pharmacist, and held leadership roles in teaching hospitals and worked in research and development in a world-renowned pharmaceutical company. Seeking to follow his own personal journey of recovery, John Derry left his successful pharmaceutical business career to do graduate studies in addiction and shift his focus to helping others. The result of his passion to help others led to the creation of Serenity Vista.

Serenity Vista Panama Cost

The private, self-pay rehab facility offers three different program options. Guests can stay at Serenity Vista for 45, 70, or 90 days. For standard shared accommodation, guests will pay (in USD):

• $19,980 for 45 days
• $31,080 for 70 days
• $39,960 for 90 days

For a private room, rates for Serenity Vista are: $26,775 (45 days), $41,650 (70 days), and $53,550 (90 days).

Serenity Vista Accommodation

Serenity Vista provides visitors an individualized experience with just a maximum of six clients at any one time. Programs can last up to 90 days, but the number of guests never increases past six. The accommodation onsite is luxurious and feels more like a tropical, get away retreat rather than your typical institutional rehab center.

Residents can choose between a shared or private bedroom, which includes full-sized queen beds, dressers, and closet space. Each bedroom is decorated in Panamanian decor. Serenity Vista also offers guests on-site laundry services, shared living spaces to relax and get to know other guests. The shared living spaces come with an extensive audiovisual program library. There are also private or shared bathrooms.

Three wonderful meals are served each day and shared together in the main house dining room.  The meals and snacks are varied and nutritious, prepared with local fresh produce including an abundance of local tropical fruits. Mealtime at Serenity Vista is a shared experience of enjoying healthy foods that help clients improve their overall health. Clients with eating disorders are guided to learn to enjoy balanced, healthy meals.

Serenity Vista accepts guests from around the world into the rehab’s recovery program. Client privacy and confidentiality are a strict priority. Guests are provided individual attention during a stay. The rehab allows just six guests at one time. The core of Serenity Vista’s program is evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy. It explores spirituality (non-religious) and incorporates 12-step philosophy. Holistic therapies including yoga, massage, meditation, mindfulness, healthy nutrition, exercise, outdoor adventure and balanced-life coaching are all included.
